Terrance Andrews

Hi, my name is Terrance Andrews. I am a freelance tutor both online and offline, as well as a writer. I am a Bachelor's of English Literature, graduating Cum Laude from Ohio Christian University. I have written two books in AAVE, retelling mythology in modern language.

My journey as a tutor began in 2018, when, after recovering from my discharge from the National Guard in 2013 and a stint as a freelance writer, I began reapplying myself to get back into Education. I applied to Ohio Christian University, was accepted, and simultaneously began working on websites like Tutor.com and Varsity Tutors to help cover the cost of classes. Even with the tragic setback of my near-death experience from an infection following my esophagogastrectomy, I pushed through and earned my degree with honors, graduating with a 3.67 GPA. From there, I worked continuously as a tutor, helping fight the epidemic of falling literacy rates in America. I worked with 4-12 grade students in history, English Language Arts and reading and continued to improve their scores. My students grades rose from Cs to As. 

I love helping students love to learn. The joy when they get it is the greatest gift I can be given. My philosophy is "Stories save us, whether they be history or fiction" Worlds that have been and worlds that could be.
